• Assisted with LNG Liquefaction support and the conversions of Long Beach / Los Angeles harbor yard equipment from diesel to LNG. • Responsible for all facets of the program including chassis re-power, transmission integration, LNG storage and fuel conditioning, and electronic integration into the existing chassis. • Designed an LNG portable storage rig for transfer into vehicular fuel tanks for the port operations.• Responsible for electronic and instrumentation work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of vehicle and fueling equipment.

• Recruited by the company into the newly formed alternative fuels group. • As the Western Regional Service Manager I represented Cummins for 13 years.Industrial Service Manager (2001 to 2003)• Delivered on-site failure analysis on the front line in the industrial alternative fuels market in difficult cases or by customer demand. Territory included western half of the U.S., working directly between the field network and the internal technical organizations. • Provided early warning to quickly identify new & significant product issues, before they became costly. Met with key customers to monitor product satisfaction. • Displacement ranged from 5.9L-60L.• Identified mechanical and electronic diagnostic tools and processes that facilitate optimal field repairs. Ensured that designs are serviceable, reliable and durable.Commissioning Engineer (1999 to 2001)• Selected by upper management to join the service team of a newly formed joint venture between Cummins and Wärtsila Co. • Provided strong technical support in the Power Generation and Marine propulsion markets.• Insured that these large displacement engines (71 and 91 liters) were installed and maintained within Cummins guidelines. • This infant care approach was crucial in the early development of an engine introduction. • The many changes to this joint venture required the ability to be flexible and deal with ambiguity.Field Test Engineer/U.S. and Canada (1990 to 1999)• Supported research in the development of new engines and components. • Validated systems, found weakness in design, reliability and durability. • Worked through solutions.
