𝙏𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝Within my first year of business, I partnered with the driven and passionate leaders of the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce to gain access to a network of local small business owners. The idea was to introduce the most business owners as possible to the healthy business practices that IO Psychology advocates for. The Chamber served to do exactly that through our collective efforts in hosting weekly seminars where we would discuss areas of improvement.Tasked with creating these lesson plans, I was able to plant the seed of healthy business strategies and IO Psychology in the Wester Chicagoland area. Honored to contribute, my fellow board members taught me valuable networking skills, outreach efforts, and teaching methods to be used across a diverse group of members ranging in age and background. 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨The opportunity to serve at the chamber aligned me with the necessary groups to survey as my own business was taking shape. I was able to test theories, collect data on the small business community, and ask local entrepreneurs about their needs and goals in business. This proved invaluable as my experience here would propel my consulting capabilities within this sector forward. In addition to these benefits, the chambers served to reignite my passion for servicing the purposeful and heartfelt individuals dedicated to community growth and facilitating for a thriving local business ecosystem.

𝙏𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝Forming the Young Professionals Group in Western DuPage was an honor as it served to inspire and ignite a collective mission to dedicate our talents to the small business community. The structure of the group was intentional in its design to optimize efficiency and collaboration across a core group of five with the capacity to initiate as many young professionals as the chamber could hold. Tactically, my desire to arrange for the group's formation was to ensure that West Chicago and the Western Suburbs gained the long-term advocacy of passionate, community-centered individuals. In the mean time, I would go on to build comprehensive D.I.Y. materials for community distribution, designed to facilitate for small businesses growth and development. 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩𝙨As intentionality is at the forefront of any group, this Young Professionals initiative was spearheaded by a consultant, two marketing entrepreneurs, a local and reputable bank associate, and a member of West Chicago's most recognizable and community-centric family. I remained strategic throughout the recruitment process as our collective skills and reach could effectively position us to benefit and target the businesses that could in turn, create the most local jobs and impact the surrounding communities. Together, we would teach young professionals proper business development skills and steward our gifts to foster a community of success.

𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩While entering the final year of my Master's program, a hunger to learn more about the day-to-day jobs that sustain our communities drove me to pursue an apprenticeship in carpentry. Fresh off of my time with Spaulding Decon, I desired a challenge that would further my understanding of the not-so-glamours industries I was determined to impact. The fortunate placement of an MFC Apprenticeship opened the doors to training new hires in essential safety protocol, establishing regular progress schedules, and innovating for technology to be implemented into the trade. Although these improvements grew my professional understanding, the skills gained and opportunity to physically build homes for local families proved to be far more rewarding.

𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩While pursuing a Master's degree in I/O Psychology, my strategic obsession with developing a well-rounded and comprehensive insight into industry brought me to a role that I neglected to consider: The Dirty-Job. This role is one of my favorites as it served to mold my character above all else. While classes took place at night, I'd clean hoarder houses by day.This humbling blend of hazmats and backpacks taught me that no matter the circumstance, God calls us to uplift one another and view each other as brothers and sisters. My year with Spaulding Decon is one that taught me compassion for my community and a sense of efficacy toward any area of work that I am tasked with.

𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩A corporation such as Dick's Sporting Goods was the next logical step in college-aged work as I had seen the heights of luxury with Butler, the purpose-driven elements of Gesture, and the local restaurant scene at La Buona Vita. As I worked towards a leadership position in the form of the Golf Department Lead, the insights gained through my experience climbing a miniature corporate ladder assisted my creative thinking in innovating for a similar structure to be brought to the small business community. Dick's Sporting Good's built my familiarity with the retail space while exposing me to a successful franchise committed to employee development. As I ventured further into an understanding of sales and corporate practice, my appreciation for policy and standardized training began to take shape.

𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩The opportunity to work under an investors group presented the right blend of circumstances to apply my growing passion to a current role. With a building interest in I/O Psychology, the investors of La Buona Vita empowered me to recommend improvements, train new hires, and cultivate an environment of luxury dining similar to that of my previous employers. La Buona Vita grew my love for the small business community as I worked closely with both the owners and their shareholders. I developed an understanding of practical marketing strategies, effective staff trainings, and community initiatives designed to attract locals to the business. As I prepared to move to Florida in order to pursue the last two years of my degree, La Buona Vita served as an excellent send-off from the local business landscape.

𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩In my role as a Sales & Marketing Specialist at Gesture Fundraising Technologies, I was fortunate to experience a profound year of personal and professional growth. While my responsibilities encompassed client prospecting and data analysis, it was the company's commitment to purpose-driven initiatives that truly resonated with me. Working alongside non-profit organizations dedicated to cancer awareness, supporting battered women's centers, and fostering youth development initiatives deepened my passion for businesses committed to making a positive impact on communities. Gesture not only enhanced my technical skills but also nurtured my heartfelt dedication to serving small businesses with purpose and integrity.

Their treasured and esteemed reputation provided me with invaluable insights into professionalism and etiquette as I was granted access to the nations most acclaimed executives. The opportunity to interact with CEOs, Founders, and the affluent members of Butler National cultivated a strong work ethic and professionalism that would mold me as a young man. As I observed business dealings on and off of the golf course, my understanding of success and networking was refined.
