About Frank Trujillo

I am actively looking for a new opportunity to work remotely from Colorado, in the greater Denver area, or in a attractive location outside Colorado. I’ve worked in several different industries, from telecommunications, to aerospace, to a startup consulting company and most recently enterprise software. Throughout all my experience there is one common thread – large scale software. I’ve gone from designing and developing software, to leading teams technically and managerially, and I am now focused on delivering high business value through program management. I would describe my current core competency as a hands-on program manager with a keen ability to bridge the gap between customers, marketing and engineering to consistently release high quality features and functionality to on-premises products and cloud services. I master the bigger picture as well as the technical details to make project management trade-offs to optimize value of feature delivery. I work closely with my development team and other cross-functional teams to not only delivery on time, but also to improve customer satisfaction, adoption and reduce the overall cost of goods sold (COGS). My motto is “do the right thing” and I always put the team first. I truly enjoy solving the difficult problems and making significant business impact in my role. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and do what it takes to help meet our goals. Some of my key areas of expertise include:• Leadership by Position and Influence• Project Management & Release Management• Exceptional Analytical Problem Solving Skills• Extensive Software Life Cycle Experience• Cross-Functional Leadership• Employee Management • SaaS Experience & Expertise• Agile Methodologies• Customer Focused Engineering• Cloud Computer Architectures• Executive Communications• Contract / Vendor Management

At Lockheed Martin I had a great opportunity to work on two main programs: Mission Management and Ground Control. Some of my key accomplishments during this time include:• Lead a team of 15 engineers, defining the software development process, performing requirements management, planning and scheduling, mentoring, designing and successfully deploying with customer sign-off. • Received Outstanding Achievement Award and bonus for high profile efforts in successfully delivering the Ground Control software product on-time and under tight deadline constraints. • Team lead for Mission Management product, taking a set of requirements and defining all necessary development and delivery process, designs, and leading a team to implement the final product. Trained engineers and lead all design and architectural decisions.
