Since 1992, Frank P. Crivello has served as a senior advisor to the Trusts, providing strategic acquisition and operational input by drawing on his vast experience in all aspects of commercial real estate. Frank P. Crivello began his real estate career in 1982 with investments in multifamily, commercial office, warehouse and retail properties. By 1985, Frank had identified and refined a successful formula for rapid equity accumulation through the consensual modification of anchor tenant leases in retail properties. This formula was applied for acquisitions from coast to coast as well as for the ground-up development of neighborhood retail shopping centers. By 1990, Frank P. Crivello was one of Kmart's largest landlords, with properties in nearly every state and an operating business with over 1,000 employees. While his portfolio flourished in the 1980s, by the early 1990s in the wake of the 1991 recession, his real estate portfolio declined due to the impact of retailer bankruptcies and the failures of a number of his national lenders.
