About Frank Van Rooijen

Director/Producer/Creator & Freelance Talent Acquisition SpecialistI am a freelance director, producer, recruiter, editor, and owner of Outface Productions, a boutique media creation company based in Amsterdam and active worldwide. I have been in love and involved with all stages of filmmaking for over 20 years, delivering high-end content for various clients and platforms. I have a strong background in film and TV, having studied at Brussels Film Academy, worked at Dutch Broadcasting network BNN, and created my own TV series, Making Hollywood. I also have extensive experience in interactive film, having worked as a video editor at MediaMonks, one of the biggest digital production houses in the world, where I was part of many award-winning projects for brands such as Adidas, Audi, and KLM. I am a RED cam owner, a certified drone operator, and a lifetime adventurer who loves challenges and travels. My mission is to tell stories that combine the best of both worlds: film and digital interactivity.

    MakingName.tv is an initiative created by Rick de Graaff and Frank van Rooijen.Best Friends, film/tv makers, dreamers, adventurers, and followers of the Good Life. Besides working on projects in and around their homes in Amsterdam, they travel around the world to discover the media and entertainment industry, trying to make name for themselves. In 2009 they took of to Hollywood for 90 days with a "do-it-yourself" mentality, a plundered savings account (which was good for a poor $5000,-), and came back with a 20 episode long reality series about there exploration of Hollywood. Broadcasted by dutch Public broadcasters BNN's 101.tv and Radio 538 TV. But this was just the beginning, after creating an new TV adventure in Japan (that is still on the editing shelf), they are now creating there next dream TV project.MakingName is all about chasing dreams and entertaining others.

Started with a Road Trip from New York to L.A.
