Since joining the company we have increased EBITDA by R22M through rebranding, new quoting models, and effective cost management. I have also established positive working relationships with colleagues and retained a minimum BBBEE Level 3 rating. Successfully repositioning the business, I have opened higher margin revenue streams, as well as targeting multinational customers. To address poor turnover and loss-making, I assessed and aligned salaries, spends and margins with industry norms. Pitching to and advising key stakeholders, I have secured investment, renegotiated supplier contracts and engaged all employees in business objectives

Promoted to CFO, I monitored the financial processes, statutory and legal compliance of Keto Group across Africa, America and Australia. Responsible for advising the Board of Directors and Private Equity Board, I ensured the business was adequately funded, facilitated mergers and acquisitions, and implemented new ERP dashboards.

Controlling all financial functions, I utilised my regional expertise to make sound decisions on business growth and assist on all commercial activities. I quickly addressed poor performing business units, offering advice and restructuring leadership as required.

In this corporate environment I received multiple awards for my innovation. I evidenced the benefits and viability of ‘quick gains’ improvements, such as a functional management reporting structure, new pricing strategies and the deployment of QlikView. Consolidating and analysing complex data, I improved profitability, road-mapped projects, recovered deficits and standardised internal processes.

Providing clear divisional leadership and structure, I was fully accountable for turnover of R110M, 5 direct reports and 100 employees. My strategies enabled business growth to meet new manufacturing demands.

As Commercial Manager, I was an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, managing continuous improvement, formulating subsidiaries and outsourced functions, optimising cash flows, and recruiting employees. I ensured that the company and its subsidiary remained profitable.

At Multotec I established the group’s foreign exchange treasury, VAT exposure monitoring system and audit framework. I developed a thorough knowledge of EXCON requirements and international subsidiary management across Africa and Australia. My goal was to drive best-in-class financial management group-wide.

Enabling informed decision making and compliance, at Macsteel I took full responsibility for international financial reporting, tax and audit processes.

At PwC I collaborated with and managed cross-functional audit teams, assessing a large portfolio of high-profile clients including: Standard Bank Retail Division, Pinnafrica Insurance, Guardrisk Holdings, Hollard Insurance and SAB Beer Division.
