He has a degree in Civil engineering and in Public administration.He has over 25 years broad experience in geotechnical (levee) projects, i.e. state of the art dike technology, dike inspection, smart levees and monitoring He worked on many research projects in The Netherlands i.e. , Animal burrows in levees, Hydraulic Asfalt Concrete, Groningen earthquake project. He has undertaken work in India, Singapore, Ecuador, China, USA and Indonesia. He was the geotechnical project manager on a extensive smart levees pilot including a Flood early warnings system along the Yellow River in China.
