Desktop Support Engineer (3Rd Line)
On-site IT support for BAE Systems. Main responsibilities:- Provide on-site field support to resolve customer IT and networking issues in the areas of hardware/software installation, servicing, repair, upgrade and maintenance. - Supporting DXC and BAE Systems user’s (Samlesbury, Warton, Preston, Chorley, Blackburn and RAF valley). - Lead engineer for ticket work including Sev 1 incidents, network outages, VIP customers, escalation and service delivery manager chase ups. - Ensure issues are referred to the appropriate personnel/service areas for follow up, testing and troubleshooting.- Liaise with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.- Primary, on-site network support and contact for the relevant teams. - Customer Order Fulfilment (COF) and Tactical Workflow & Operational Support engineer (TWOs). - Training of new staff and documenting technical data and knowledge bases
