My overall responsibilities include the management of progress and behaviour for a year group within one of the Key Stages, implementing effective strategies so that the focus of students is on learning and positive engagement. Monitoring performance and analysing data to track progress. Working in conjunction with teachers ensuring that effective teaching and learning take place within the year group (this could mean liaising with heads of department or members of the leadership team to tackle concerns). To work as part of the guidance team continually striving to improve attendance and punctuality and reduce exclusions. Accountable to the Head teacher and Governors. 2015 was a great year! Our team won a silver national teaching award for excellence in guidance.My whole organisational responsibilities for 2015/16 are; - Behaviour for Learning - Transition support- Home Learning. Previous responsibilities include:- Member of the governing bodyI have had a strategic overview and contributed to the development of the schools strategy of quality assurance. This has directly impacted on the success of our students and Teaching and Learning Team. - House System Lead I have led the development of the school house system. I have line managed a group of staff and sixth form heads of house. I have assisted with instilling the school ethos and used the house system as a motivational tool to promote positive behaviours, raise student engagement and reward whilst recognising students for their academic and personal achievements. - Fundraising and Environmental Lead This work has seen students develop their confidence, self-esteem and aspirations allowing them to develop skills that help them inside and beyond the classroom. The positive impact that this has had at Churchill Community College is evident through the student voice feedback and motivation of the students.

Working with young people (11-18 years) from across North Tyneside. We offer the opportunity to develop photographic skills and create bespoke portfolios as part of the Wallsend Partnership and SUB21 from our workplace Churchill Community College.

Newcastle Photo Tours specialised in small-group and one to one photography workshops enabling customers to switch their Auto setting off and develop their confidence in using manual settings including: Aperture, shutter speed and ISO to control exposure. Customers camera handling and understanding of photography benefited greatly on all of our workshops as a result of our expert instruction and professional knowledge. Our innovative courses were taught by taking customers outdoors and into a world of creative practical photography under the guidance of experienced photography tutor - Fraser Patrick. I provided workshops and one to one tuition for beginners and improvers throughout the year at a number of outdoor locations across the North East, Borders and Cumbria.Duties included;- Marketing and promotion- Managing bookings- Dealing with customer queries- Photographic tuition

One of the main duties was greeting and serving customers from the moment they enter the shop. I advised customers and answer any queries they may have, from stock availability and details of special offers to a product’s price. I frequently demonstrated camera equipment with customers and maintained my product knowledge to reach sales targets. My main task as a sales assistant was to ensure that customers had an enjoyable shopping experience and found the products that they wanted whilst up selling and making recomendations at every opportunity.Main duties included;- Welcoming and advising customers - Ensuring goods are well displayed - Handling payments- Arranging, ordering and delivery- Receiving deliveries from suppliers- Managing online transactions & dispatching orders - Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy

I worked at Whitley Lodge First School on a voluntary basis whilst studying to gain a qualification that enabled me to be employed full time. My experience here was incredible and inspired me to go further in education.

Managing a photographic portrait studio, training new staff from across the UK. Working with studios in other areas of the UK to improve productivity and to assist with developing promotions and marketing strategies, photographing clients, photo editing and presentation of products, sales, book keeping, stock control, data and performance analysis.

I worked at a restaurant called the Changing Room Restaurant as a Restaurant Supervisor I worked along side the Restaurant Manager and was responsible for the day to day running of all front of house operations. In this role I maximised sales and profit performance through the delivery of excellent selling and service. I achieved this through developing my team, working with the Restaurant Manager to ensure excellent product presentation and delivery whilst maintaining sound financial controls. SkillsI was highly proactive individual and my enthusiasm for delivering an excellent service motivated the team. I used my communication skills to coach and develop a team to succeed and used an organised and flexible approach to make effective decisions, delegating when appropriate.

I worked as a waiter on a part time basis whilst I was completing my secondary education. Duties included taking food and drinks orders from customers, liasing and placing orders with kitchen staff, food preparation, washing, cleaning and delivering an outstanding customer service.I went on to work for the same restaurant owners as a restaurant supervisor at the Changing Room Restaurant at Wrexham Football Club for a further three years. I left this position when I moved to Newcastle to continue with my studies.
