Designing, developing and bringing to production industry leading products for joint protection in the action sport and medical markets.- Develop new, emerging and existing concepts by researching markets, trends, material and technology developments to bring fresh ideas and innovation to POD Active.- Evaluate concepts by using the design process to determine which options meet the demands of our customers.- CAD, Solidworks designing components with complex surface geometry while… Show more Designing, developing and bringing to production industry leading products for joint protection in the action sport and medical markets.- Develop new, emerging and existing concepts by researching markets, trends, material and technology developments to bring fresh ideas and innovation to POD Active.- Evaluate concepts by using the design process to determine which options meet the demands of our customers.- CAD, Solidworks designing components with complex surface geometry while also considering the limitations of their manufacturing process and tool design.- FEA analysis to determine if the design will meet the performance requirements for the product.- Creation and management of BOMs & Tech packs for new and existing products.- Testing of prototypes and preproduction samples both internal field testing as well as lab testing with 3rd parties for various regulation requirements etc.- Manage international vendors to bring new products to market on time and under budget. Processes include, injection moulded plastics, composites, soft goods and packaging.- Development and implementation of Quality Control procedures to ensure new products meet the high level of finish and performance expected by our customers.- Optimize the production process, ongoing work with the vendors to improve production efficiencies and problem solve and arising issues that may occur over a products production.- Stakeholder engagement, managing expectations of international vendors, international customers and POD Active executives to maintain positive and profitable relationships with all our business partners. Main Duties include designing new products for the plastic home ware market and other clients, focusing on products that would be injection moulded.Injection moulding tool design.Improving existing products through tool modifications.Supervising and maintaining an automated assembly line that produced the Reva Pegs.
