Over the last nine years I have continued my development as a fully qualified quantity surveyor. Over this period I have gained several academic qualification, notably my BSC with Hons in Quantity Surveying. Additionally, I have worked on a vast array of projects and contracts that have help with my development and improving my knowledge of all aspects and responsibilities of being a quantity surveyor.While employed at Taylor & Fraser and Elmwood I have been working within a small team, another surveyor and I, which has given me an excellent chance to encounter many different issues in the day to day requirements. I have especially enjoyed solving these issues for the benefit of my employer. During these employments I have carried out the majority of my contracts as the sole surveyor and have gained tremendous confidence to not only execute projects on my own but feel I have the correct qualities to manage a team or act as a senior survey when required.As expected, at the start of my career I was employed as a project survey on minor projects, however, over the last five years I have been the sole project survey on projects to the sum of £500k to £4.5m.Due to good training and experience I feel I have collected the correct tools and knowledge on how to achieve the most beneficial outcome for my employer. Through a fair, understanding, and honest approach to all in the supply chain and design teams I feel this end product can be achieved and additionally support a good working relationship.
