My passion for Acting and Presenting has always been there. It wasn't until I stopped I learned about discipline, drive and dedication. Cutting straight to it, I was watching the Canoe slalom at the 2012 Games. We won gold and silver and I knew I wanted to have a go. I managed to get onto a Legacy Project. It started slowly, but with total discipline and complete focus, I progressed into GB Canoeings Junior Squad. I competed all over the country, and into Europe. How does this relate? Well, I learned that you get out what you put in. I put everything into kayaking and It helped with my whole life. After Acting in local theater company's I was asked to try out for Scare UK who run live, interactive horror events. Such a different experience to the general Stanislavski Techniques used on stage. Improvisation is something I had backed away from, but now my improvisational skills have improved as everything is live, no script and literally anything can happen, and does.Going back to the kayaking for a second. I asked if I could do a spot of commentating at a British Open Event and was eagerly given the opportunity to do so. I wasn't ready for the positive response I got. This lead to me being asked to live commentate at the Canoe Slalom World Championships hosted in London and after discussions with the producer, they let me get in front of the camera and do some hosting and live interviews. This opened more doors than I could have ever hoped for and lead to me being asked to join the World Renowned 'Great Big Events', for whom I have now worked on several prestigious events, most recently live hosting the LEN European Aquatics Championships at the Olympic Park in London. Working with GBE has been a challenging and equally rewarding opportunity. I learned so much from these events including conducting myself in a professional manner, through production and direction to improvisation and a great deal of quick thinking.
