I feel greatful, for this is one of the few times in my career that a role has been a result of choice before necessity. Working with two young people in a residential care home environment I find deeply satisfying. Being a part of the support and development of those in my care allows many years of corporate and personal coaching as well as elements of self awareness and mindfulness to play a role in bettering the life of others during each shift and every interaction.Responsibilities are shared amongst a fantastic team of fellow residential care workers, as we work together to ensure the young people feel elements of support and encouragement which provide good foundations and allow them to lead the most positive and productive life possible, during the period of time spent with us and after leaving it. Providing a nurturing but professional environment is at the forefront of all we do. Activities, appointments, general health and well-being is all included in our responsibilities. As well as personal training and development to ensure we remain effective and also compliant with the regulatory authority, Ofsted.
