Managed three to five quality engineers responsible for maintaining and improving the quality control program for the manufacture of batteries and the packaging of batteries and flashlights. Implemented product improvements and reduced scrap. Brought to market Energizer’s first debased alkaline battery to compete with offshore brands and private label offerings. Ensured that all rigorous quality standards were met by all departments, by explaining the importance of maintaining quality Improvement Initiatives, and Continuous Improvement, resulting in the plant being awarded the Department of National Defence’s highest quality standard AQAP-1.

Managed +200 employees including 6 to 7 production foremen responsible for production management of the Walkerton Plant producing alkaline and carbon zinc batteries. Packaging operations for batteries and flashlights. Assembly of corrugate product displays. Managed the amalgamation of the Walkerton and Toronto facilities in Walkerton. Implemented a productivity enhancement and scrap reduction program which saw efficiency increase from ~75% to +85% and scrap reduced from 3.4% to less than 2%
