• Review client’s current and deferred tax computations• Advise the client on potential tax exposures (VAT, PAYE, Customs, Corporation Tax) based on the current tax computation• Keeping abreast with key industry developments that help form discussions with the client and assess their potential impact from a tax perspective• Offering tax advisory based on client queries• Carry out tax training to clients based on gaps identified during tax compliance reviews• Ensure client meet deadlines on their various tax obligations• Carry out reviews of various capital tax incentives provided to the client such as Investment Deduction, Industrial Building and Farm Works to ascertain accuracy of the claims• Tax Due diligence and health check reviews;• Follow up with the KRA on various applications lodged by the client – tax exemption certificates, private rulings and VAT refund claims• Writing Tax Alerts on various tax heads for release to the client following Finance Acts and budget speech• Assist client in KRA audit reviews – from collating information for KRA’s review, responding to the assessments and confirmed assessments and preparing the appeal documents to be presented at the Tax Appeals Tribunal
