Official representative of Senator Grassley in 21 central Iowa counties, the largest of the 6 regions Senator Grassley has divided the state into to serve Iowans. Traveling thousands of miles with Senator Grassley, and independently, to attend hundreds of events. Holding meetings, answering questions, helping Iowans with issues with numerous federal and state agencies. This position was just for 2022.

Appointed as Regional Director, by the President, for Region VI of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. HHS Region VI includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas, as well as 68 Federally-recognized tribes and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. As Regional Director, I serves as HHS Secretary Alex Azar's representative responsible for guiding and coordinating HHS policies. I also facilitate communications regarding HHS initiatives as they relate to state, local and tribal governments.

Traveling thousands of miles with Senator Grassley and independently to attend hundreds of events each year. including speaking and answering questions. Assisting people having problems with various government agencies including with the General Services Administration, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, IRS, USDA, FEMA and the SBA.

Organized the 2009 Ambassadors Tour for Senator Grassley. This included the planning for the 55 Ambassadors and other diplomats and spouses that attended, raising over $120,000 in funding in a recession economy, selecting 30 different sites, e.g. agricultural, educational and cultural for the Ambassadors to visit and tour Iowa for 5 days.

Appointed by President Bush to serve as Secretary Tommy Thompson and Secretary Mike Leavitt’s direct representative in the Midwest Region of the U.S. which includes the states of: Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.• Acted as spokesman and “public face” of agency in the Midwest• Cultivated and maintained working relationships with Governors, State Health/Medicaid/Emergency Mgmt. Directors, Members of Congress, State Legislators, Mayors, and other key state, local and tribal officials for the purpose of negotiating sensitive, controversial and political issues within the Region• Played an instrumental role in the public education and implementation of key Presidential initiatives such as the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit; Health Care Transparency (Value Driven Healthcare); Medicaid reform; Affordable Choices for the Uninsured; and Pandemic Influenza Preparedness at the state and local level.
