How would you feel about employing a cartoon character as an animator? How would you feel about him being Professional and Diligent? What if this character was also a Team-Player and Friendly? Loyal and Hard-Working? Knew the Principles of Animation and, needless to say, was Energetic and Animated?Animation has always been a big part of my life. Dating back to before I even knew how to talk, cartoons spoke to me in a way that most other things didn’t, so much so that I would actually act like a cartoon character (sound effects and all). I would invest my time drawing characters, developing their backgrounds, crafting stories and acting out the scenes for them, all the while keeping up to date with every animated adventure I could.When I discovered video games a whole new world of possibilities opened up to me, promising stunning visuals and interesting characters that all played a part in immersing the player into a new reality. It was at that moment that I knew what I wanted to do with my life:I wanted to be a Video Game Designer.After winning 1st Place in the Technology Student’s Association for Best Video Game, I set my sights on the 3D Animation Program at the University of the Incarnate Word. While at UIW, I received an award for being an “Outstanding Student of the 3D Animation Program”, and before graduating Cum Laude in 2013 I also received a “Brass Ring 100 Merit Award.”Since then I have been working on an independent horror film called “Primal” which is currently in preproduction.Quality-Oriented, Determined, Passionate, Professional, Light Hearted and Humorous, Energetic and Animated – these are the personality traits I have carried throughout my life, and my love of animation has only led me to incorporate not only these positive traits but also a strong resemblance to the very things that have inspired me.So now I ask again: How would you feel about hiring a cartoon character as an animator?Portfolio: http://fredthefourth.com/
