I also discovered an overlooked issue that resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax savings each year company-wide. I implemented new safety procedures and conducted plant-wide monthly safety meetings resulting in fewer work-related injuries. In 2008, I was project manager for a 100,000 square foot expansion worth $6.5 million and oversaw all aspects of construction including the purchasing of all new equipment and materials.
