I am a library and history professional with over three decades of research, administrative, and scholarly experience. Areas of expertise that I have been actively involved in over this time include several endeavors I have led and/or spearheaded that reflect the evolving nature and context of how history informs the present and influences the future. In addition to preparing numerous research guides for students and faculty alike, I have lectured at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level on numerous topics. These topics, leveraging my expertise in history and its applications, center around national security issues and the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century. In addition to these historical research and teaching duties, I have also been a copyeditor on several historical fiction books. My expertise and background in history runs the gamut from classroom and traditional academic knowledge, lecturing and delivering that information, and applying this knowledge to active manuscript projects. Skilled in instructional design, public speaking, classroom presentations, research methodologies and strategies, budget development, and planning. Possesses a BA with honors and an MA with honors from New York University and an MS with honors from Columbia University with additional studies at All Souls College at Oxford, the Pontifical Institute at the University of Toronto, CUNY, and Fordham University. I have travelled extensively across the globe, primarily in crisis areas in North Africa, the Middle East, and Malaysia among other locales. Have consulted with various governmental bodies such as FEMA and the United Nations. Have expertise in the water sector, operations research, and integration of force.
