I strongly believe that, through education, we can build a future that is more human, more Earth-centered and more peaceful. As someone whose life and career have been profoundly transformed by educational opportunities and experiences (at home and abroad), I am an advocate of lifelong learning, international academic mobility and cross-cultural engagement. After two decades of professional experience – half of which dedicated to researching and advising in the field of international higher education – I am convinced that education can play a critical role in transforming individuals, communities, nations and the relationships between them. As a parent, an educator and a sociologist, I am also aware of the persisting correlations between education and widening inequalities. Across the world, access to quality education and international learning opportunities remain limited – so as the support to scientists, students and educators. My life goal is to help revert this scenario and join other enthusiasts along the way.
