I recently concluded eight years of service as President Obama's Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), becoming the longest serving Chairman in the agency’s history. Previously, I had the honor of serving as Dean of the Milano School at the New School and, prior to that, as Acting Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA) under President Clinton. Before entering public service, I spent almost two decades in the helm of the direct marketing company Lillian Vernon, overseeing a 40-fold increase in revenue and taking the company public.
