Currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Emory Candler School of Theology. I have an S.T.M. (Master of Sacred Theology degree) from Chicago Theological Seminary and a Master’s of Arts Degree in Religion and Christian Thought from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. I am also a 2014 Fellow of the Black Theology and Leadership Institute at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ. An accomplished journalist, I have over 20 years of experience as an editor and writer where I've covered issues such as faith and values, the family, the black church, business development and entrepreneurship, the criminal justice system, education, politics, and welfare reform. I am the former Editor at Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine, and during the mid-90s, was on the editorial board at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where I wrote editorials and a weekly column on local and national issues. I have won awards for both column and feature writing and have been published in a range of newspapers and magazines. Recent articles have appeared on the Religion Blog @ CNN.com.
