I started out my career in reverse engineering, development of debuggers and software analysis tools. I have over 20 years of experience in the field. For the last decade my focus has been on telecom, where I am a recognized as a leading expert and security researcher.In recent years I have been deeply involved in the industry efforts to secure the signalling networks, working on unique offensive research such as the Root Canal attack on SS7. I am also actively working with the industry bodies and taking part in shaping the industry wide recommendations on signalling security on SS7, Diameter, 5G protocols and NFV.As the Sinch Software and Systems Security Advisor I functioned as part of the CTO office with focus both on offensive and defensive security research in Signalling and IoT. I participate in the GSMA to help secure present and future pathways of communication, and I am listed twice in the Mobile Security Research Hall of Fame.In my advisory capacity I assisted the Sinch R&D team in development of the Signalling Firewall and Fraud and Security product line and worked horizontally as security advisor on software, IoT and telecom security.As Chief Architect and the originator and designer of the HAUD Solution suite of products I took pride in coming up with new concepts and innovative solutions to unsolved problems.In my time away from Sinch I have worked as Senior Consultant at P1 Security, leading researchers in telecom security. My role was to help shape and deliver the services required by network operators to secure the mobile landscape.
