Mechanical Engineer from the Universidade de Brasilia (UnB), Brazil. Currently working as mechanical designer of medical devices at HealthGo Technologies and enrolled at UnB's Biomedical Engineering Master's program.Academic career focused on research and development of rehabilitation technologies and assistive devices in the biomedical field. Worked in a variety of biomechanical projects focused on the design of mechanical orthosis and modelling and control of human gait.Former participant of the Brazilian Student Mobility Program and CAPES academic scholarship recipient at Miami University in Oxford, US. Two-time recipient of the CNPQ scholarship for undergrad research at UnB. Technical member of the "Empowering Mobility and Autonomy" (EMA) team at the 2020 international CYBATHLON.Along with the academic career, João is also is the founding partner of the MiFáSol-Lá Early Childhood Musicalization Center, working since 2018 as the head of managing operations.
