The main reason I chose a career in Engineering can be summarized with one expression, ”problem-solving”. No matter what field of engineering or product I work with, this one truth remains. There is an excitement of going to the bottom of a problem and letting the thoughts freely generate ideas and theories, and together with others take part in their experiences and knowledge. That’s when I learn and thrive the most.In my role as System Responsible for Electric Driveline, I operate within a cross-functional team daily. I support the development process and have close contact with our suppliers in order to secure material deliveries to our engine and vehicle plants in Europe, America and China. For me, it comes naturally to work structured as I am in charge of a large number of product variants that continuously change. My automotive background in R&D and Manufacturing helps to understand technical complexity combined with large quantities of components and the sensitivity when it comes to planning the supply chain for such an extensive system. During Volvo's technology transition from ICE vehicles to fully electric cars I succeeded to adapt and attain knowledge of the new Driveline system within 6 months. I have handled the increased pressure and shown resilience throughout the technology shift and met all project deadlines and targets. Listed below are some of my significant achievements in the company:- Implemented design change resulting in a profit of 2,51M€- Sourced local supplier cutting the cost of logistics with 0,73 M€- Executed vehicle field data analysis that made it possible to standardize components and hence increase volumes and save material cost. All together resulting in a profit of 1,8 M€- Propulsion ambassador of educational platform for new model launch 2023Time apart from work is spent on outdoor adventures with friends and family. My love for skiing and snowboarding has been unconditional since day one. Out of all my childhood memories, the ones from skiing with my family remains the most detailed and colorful. Today I have a Snowboard Instructor Certification, and during the weekends I help out teaching children and adults on the local slope just outside Gothenburg, hoping their first skiing and snowboarding experiences will be as memorable as mine.
