My current role as Managing Partner at A2insigth is the result of more than 30 years exploring how to find the best way to use facts, data and insight combined with the different aspects and processes of business in order to help people and companies grow and thrive. My education was within Business Administration and through my Bachelor- and Masters degree I got at glimpse of how IT could benefit my profession going forward. Growing up in Norways oil capital and living close to one of Norways biggest yards, the road to the Norwegian Oil&Gas industry was a given. As a young Cost and Contract Mananger in the industry I used every opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced industry. The combination of business and IT was, and still is, a major driver for me in contributing to enable new insights and new ways of improving the day to day operations of projects, logistics, manufacturing and the other main processes. During these years I saw many ambitious projects being inititated to improve the operation and support the business with new IT systems. I have participated in these as a member, initiator and sponsor through a variety of positions in the accounting and finance side of business, but always with keen interest and dedicated usage of the tools that IT provides. Early on I set out on a path, and still 30 years later, I am on the same path of using my knowledge, experience and dedication enabling facts and insigthts to be paired with the wonderful tools digitalisation is bringing us. My journey has gone through the ranks of our industry from large scale projects to corporate finance, landing me in positions as both CFO and CEO of amazing companies. And today all that knowledge and experience is being used in my own company working with other great companies and people delivering solutions based upon #powerbi, #powerapps and #visualplanning. My ambition for the rest of my career is to be able to accellereate this journey and enable true self service for my customers, continuing my career as Business Intelligence Specialist and renowned trainer.
