Perform all duties of an Alarm Monitor. Maintain daily duty log. Conduct and record various checks and verifications. Report suspicious activities and persons. Pursued and detained persons fleeing an incident or attempting to resist detainment; subdued individuals causing disturbances. Observed and monitored conditions, objects or persons that may require police action and responds with the appropriate established procedure. Monitored and authorized entrance and departure of visitors, employees and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Answered telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. Conduct security audits to identify potential threats related to staff safety, physical safety, or asset protection. Managed electronic or paper filing systems, updating paperwork, recording information, or maintaining documents, including attendance records, correspondence, or other material.

Monitored points of access to building or property and allowed entry to individuals with the correct identification or authorization. In some situations, such as public events or crowded areas, they walk among visitors to promote order and provide a visible presence that deters safety issues. Observe and report suspicious activities and persons. I had to provide personal protection to individuals by escorting them to specified locations. Wrote detailed narrative reports and maintained daily activity reports (DARs). Knowledge of company's rules and regulations to prevent criminal activity before it happened. Enforced rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
