Yr Media Streaming Platform Program Director + Interactive Events Lead
The YR Media Streaming Platform Program Director + Interactive Events Lead works closely with seasoned editors and producers as well as youth reporters and artists to create original and fun digital-first events and livestream programming that are visually compelling and shareable to promote YR Media content, events and talent. This role works closely with all departments to produce high-quality experiences and connect young people with roles in the areas of music supervision, curation, live streaming, event management, hosting and deejaying. This role reports to, and collaborates within, the Creative Department and also works with the Communications team to ensure audience engagement and social media growth. The role additionally aligns closely with Media Education and Career Pathways to ensure a robust learning and career development experience for youth.Responsibilities:•Devise a strategy and lead station programming and music curation for YR Media streaming platforms•Recruitment, development, scheduling, and onsite coordination of DJs, hosts and shows •Oversee platform maintenance and content•Works with Communications Department and within the Creative Department to coordinate social media promotions and distribution of event and live streaming content•Oversee technical layout, development, and maintenance of audio and video streaming hardware•Works with the Communications Department to build an engaging social media presence based on the organizational strategy. Shares metrics and analytics with staff and youth team to determine what is most effective and make real-time adjustments.•Develop approved curriculum and career opportunities that connect youth with jobs in the areas of music supervision, curation, live streaming, event management, hosting and deejaying.•Work with the Development Department to contribute to the grant proposal process and ensure deliverables are met
