Main activities include developing and enabling automation by creating and improving frameworks and tools, as well as discover new and innovative ways to test the device with efficiency and reliability. Key Accomplishments: • Developed an automation framework in python which maps and navigates the test phone in different environmental parameters, this achieved a 1st place on a workshop for most useful solution and attained a 2nd place for most innovative solution. • Developed a tool with improved performance and reliability on communicating with the test phone to retrieve screen contents, input commands (e.g., taps and swipes) and monitor the behavior of software. • Proposed a computer vision solution in python to retrieve inaccessible screen contents to automate new areas in the phone. Used OpenCV’s Template Matching and Google’s Tesseract for OCR. • Created framework for stability testing to reduce test maintenance costs and increase efficiency. • Ensured software quality by using Docker to create an automatic code reviewer that tests new code submissions to Gerrit, checking for non-conformities and script breaking bugs, improving the time to fix bugs and alleviating effort on code review. • Participated on an artificial neural network classifier solution to reduce time to determine current screen by 30x. • Facilitated automation and post execution analysis through developing several pypi packages and py.test plugins. Improved tools and frameworks, automated and maintained functional test cases, and created a PyCharm plugin in Java for making development easier and less prone to errors. • Developed a back-end on a Java Spring project to upload test results and artifacts for later consumption. Offered robust solutions to Motorola and other contractors.
