Responsible for underwriting and policy support of North America Division for property and casualty insurance programs, including intake, rating, issuance, and other support operations for middle-market commercial, management and professional liability, specialty, and personal lines insurance. • Recent projects include working with business units on several strategic initiatives, including development and operationalization of new property product, implementation of new document/workflow management, and policy administration application, transition of several hundred-million-dollar small business portfolios to a program administrator, transition of certain personal lines portfolios, submission ingestion and third-party data aggregation, integration of several lines of business into industry verticals, and insourcing 19 thousand plus policies to QBE from the program administrator. • Delivered several underwriting support tools, including quote, bind, issuance for multiple business units to improve controls and efficiency for umbrella, E&S, Group A&H, loss-sensitive – risk management accounts, and middle-market commercial business units. • Redesigned support organization to focus on improved service delivery and reduce expenses through application systems enhancements such as property specification intake, automated forms library, work transfer to QBE BPO, workflow, and organizational redesign.

Managed all service aspects for the $3.2 billion property and casualty specialized insurance programs for corporate insureds. This includes premium calculation and recording, accounting, claims management for outside third party administrators, compliance, and operations. Directed staff of several hundred. Accomplishments include the redesign and restructure of the support organization to reduce expenses by 63% since 2010, management of regulatory and litigation issues related to historical accounting and processing of loss sensitive accounts, and implementing industry leading application systems to enhance the efficiency and service of the underlying programs.

Greater Philadelphia Area

Managed several functional areas in the ACE domestic commercial property casualty. Managed all US centralized processing areas. Responsible for several processing functions including premium coding and policy issuance for several lines of business, multinational implementations, claims statistical coding, and other backroom functions such as 1099 issuance, third party deductibles, lock box exceptions, and direct bill reconciliation. Led projects focused on expense reduction and processing improvements in underwriting and support functions. Examples include ceded reinsurance processing, underwriting, cash application, cash flow collections, and major claims file handling. Implemented new application systems as part of ACE replacement strategy. Supported the implementation of new integrated underwriting system and financial suite through workflow reviews, process redesign, user acceptance testing, application support, documentation, training, and the implementation of MIS data-marts. 
