As IT Director of Athene NY, my primary responsibility was to lead the NY office’s execution of a corporate wide plan to consolidate the information systems of all Athene entities to the company’s strategic platforms. The IT Director was also responsible for managing all locally controlled IT resources and policies. This included the security, change management and disaster recovery policies and all local IT resources such as the NY data center, network infrastructure and the NY IT team. Other responsibilities included setting the IT budget for the NY office, manage vendor contracts and relationships, and aligning the IT strategy for the NY office with the corporate IT strategy.
