Physical chemist specializing in the characterization of materials and chemicals using magnetic resonance techniques (i.e., NMR, MRI)Specialties: • Total 10+ years research experience in 1-D and 2-D multinuclear NMR spectroscopy.• Have routinely and independently carried out solution-state and solid-state NMR experiments for a variety of nuclei using Bruker, Varian and Chemagnetics NMR spectrometers.• Proficient in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting commercial Unix-, Linux- or Windows- based NMR spectrometers at different magnetic-field strengths (300 - 600 MHz) including consoles, magnets, solution-state or solid-state probes, and variable temperature units.• Experienced in using high-resolution magic angle spinning (HRMAS) probe studying polymers, tissues and nanomaterials.• Experienced in using experimental NMR programs including TopSpin, VnmrJ and Spinsight.• Experienced in testing digital and rf electronics, modifying probes/equipments, handling hazard chemicals, and transferring cryogen gases.• Other experimental techniques: XRD, IR, DSC, TEM and SEM. • Excellent organization and communication skills.• Strong ability to work in both individual and team environments.
