I joined with Garuda Indonesia (the flag carrier of Indonesia) in 1975 as a trainee and have over the years been involved in many aspects of Aircraft Maintenance and Operations, primary in the Production, Planning & Control (PPC) aspects and project managements as well as Quality & Safety. In year 2002, Garuda’s maintenance department became Independent Company named GMF AeroAsia and I was transferred to this Company.My last management position, for more then 7 (seven) years, in GMF AeroAsia was as Vice President for Quality Assurance & Safety. I retired from GMF in January 2011, but since then again I joined GMF on the contract basis as a Senior Advisor until mid of year 2012. August 2012 up to end of July 2013, I was attached to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Project INS/07/802. Project’s objective is to provide assistance to the DGCA in the enhancement of their safety oversight capability in order to comply with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices and other international and domestic requirements.From January 2012 to April 2016, I was assigned by Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Indonesia as Coordinator of Planning Group for Indonesian State Safety Programme (SSP) task forceAugust 2013 up to November 2019 I worked at Hevilift Aviation Indonesia (HAI), a fixed wing and rotary wings charter company (Part 135), as Quality Assurance and Safety (QAS) Manager. As QAS Manager I am responsible for the overall management and coordination of HAI’s quality and safety program. I directly involved in the accreditation process of Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) and in November 2015 Hevilift was awarded “GOLD”, the highest BARS accreditation. My current activities are providing training, audits and consultations related to safety and quality at the Indonesia Aircraft Maintenance Services Association (IAMSA); Indonesia National Air Carriers Association (INACA); Sofema; Techsafe; NQA and various institutions.
