I started my career part time at Sony DADC while attending Indiana State University. As soon as I graduated I was hired by Sony as a Printing Process Engineer. After a couple of years there I was presented with a fantastic opportunity to help start up Mitsui Advanced Media (Now MAM-A; a recordable CD factory in Colorado Springs). We spent many weeks in Japan learning how to manufacture recordable discs. This was an amazing career experience that allowed me to grow from Production Technology Engineer to Engineering Manager, but family obligations pulled me back to the Midwest. I was fortunate enough to be hired by Technicolor in southern Illinois as a Special Projects Engineer where I served as Project Manager for a $17M capacity expansion. I also spec'd and facilitated the installation of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System for WIP. They closed their doors in 2007. This is what led me to Pfizer. Here I spent several weeks in Germany helping to facilitate Factory Acceptance Testing on custom inhale-able insulin packaging equipment. Unfortunately this product was not successful so Pfizer decided to close their doors in Terre Haute. Soon after that, I was gratefully chosen as a Process Engineer for CSN, LLC.; also in Terre Haute. A little over 8 years later I was selected as Maintenance and Engineering Manager. In July of 2018, CSN, LLC was purchased by Steel Dynamics, Inc.Specialties: PLC programming, HMI programming, AutoCAD, Project Management, Writing Equipment Specifications, Factory Acceptance Tests, Final Equipment Installation and Qualifications, Process Improvement, Technology Transfer, Lean-Sigma methodologies, Training, Interviewing, People Management.
