Research For Life is a whole body donation organization and tissue processor of soft and hard tissue.• Office administrative duties-including several enhancements of existing filing, tracking, and computer systems • Marketing through presentations and pre-registration, donor education both by phone and in person• Retention of existing and fostering of new client relationships• Technical writing of policy and procedure • Direct contact with all donor families pre and post death• Ability to motivate and educate pre-registered donors and, at need, donor families of the benefits of donation to the medical world and to the families left behind.• Dispatched for transport and removal of donor upon death, 24 hours a day • Coordinated out of state donation - -immediate transport, secured mortuary, secured air travel• Secured all legal documentation, signatures and authorizations to legally receive, procure, and cremate a donor• Obtained Risk Assessments from donor families upon death to ensure technician safety, ruling out prospect of communicable disease• Worked directly with the Operations Officer to ensure all policy and procedures were followed prior to procurement—also assisted with the organization of special brain and spinal cord procurements that had to take place within a limited period upon death.
