At hyphenOs I am working as an independent consultant where I am working on projects for clients as well as contributing to Open Source projects including some of the projects I have conceived. Technologies: Rust, Python, Django Rest Framework, ReactJSClient Projects (Latest First) - 1. Developed the initial version of Rust SDK for ORAN-SC Near Real Time RIC platform. 2. Architected and Built web based Element Management System for a client (Python Django Rest Framework/ React) - defining security architecture for device authentication on AWS. This proved a foundation EMS for other product lines. Also, built the team for the client for the same product for further development and maintenance. Further, in Phase 2 of the project migrated the architecture to kubernetes, using EKS service on AWS, supporting multi-tenancy.3. Unblocked a project for a RAN product company that required interfacing with PKCS 11 based USB token for client side authentication for interfacing with CBRS server for Python based client and proposed a Cloud HSM based approach as a future direction for the project.4. Migrated an unmaintained .Net application to use Python Qt to talk with a wireless device using proprietary protocol. This development was critical in FCC certification of the product.Open Source (Technologies: Rust, Python) - 1. hampi - ASN.1 toolkit in Rust (self - WIP) - A compiler, codec derive macros and codecs for ASN.1 PER encoding. 2. wishpy - Python bindings for wireshark and libpcap (self)3. rust-vmm - Fixed issues and added a feature. (external) 4. scalplel - Packet dissection in Rust (self - WIP).5. intermodal - Container handling in Rust (self - unmaintained).

At Izel technologies, I have worked as both as an individual contributor and as a technical lead. Some of the major contributions - 1. For the largest client of Izel, I took the responsibility as a lead for developing a storage appliance as a "Virtual Appliance". Some of my major contributions include - delivering the product in less than 1 year, while restoring the confidence in the team. Success of this project was extremely critical for the company as multiple team leads had left the project in a short span and the project contributed significant revenue for the company.2. As an individual contributor, developed a plugin for OpenStack (Liberty version), for a client in the cloud sandbox industry. This helped client extend their offerings to Openstack based clouds in addition to existing AWS, Azure based public clouds.3. Prototyped a QEMU block device backend to provide storage for VMs in QEMU/KVM (This was part of a larger storage project that was later discontinued.)

I was the first engineer on Alef's engineering team. At Alef, my primary responsibility was developing Alef's SDN Solution. I also helped build initial engineering team for Alef. My significant contributions include - 1. Developing Networking architecture, early prototypes for Alef's SDN edge solution for 3GPP based control plane, including datapath development.2. Contributing to designing of Alef's application delivery framework.3. Participating in customer trials with a leading Telecom provider in India.

At Talentica, I led a team of 5 engineers to build the first version of GStreamer based video transcoding as a service. Some of the contributions that I made included - 1. Developing and managing build and deployment infrastructure 2. Implementation of modules for video encoding pipeline (using Python bindings for Gstreamer)3. Development of Celery based Python workers with auto-scaling on AWS EC2 instances.

I was involved in two consultancy projects during this duration - 1. Network connectivity to exchange data using UDP multicast sockets.2. Extension of my Javascript work on stocks charting library in Javascript.

Mentoring and helping junior team members.Extensible storage for Network data. A userland utility in C and associated kernel module.

Work on extensible storage for a proprietary file system that was used for storing high volume (10Gbps) network packet data

At PANTA, I was responsible for development of PANTA's Infiniband to Ethernet switching solution, I contributed to PANTA's System Management software for Cluster Management, Worked on Memory diagnostics and PCI Express peripherals diagnostics, Exploration of visualization solution using PANTA's compute and visualization Elements

I was the first engineer in the Eisodus team. I was involved in design and development of EisoAccess Access solutiong. I contributed to developing software stack for EisoAccess Access Network Solutions on the edge switch. I was involved in initial testing with early customers for Eisodus.
