Building tools to automate processes for more efficient home construction.

Responsibilities at Mast (Formerly DroneSeed):- Led QA/QC team in project management, product and SOP development, and initiative planning for large-scale conifer nursery production monitoring, managing two Bio R&D specialists at Mast's subsidiaries (Cal Forest Nursery & Silvaseed Company).-Designed and developed framework for a computer vision tool to track seedling morphometric measurements (seedling height and root collar diameter) and health.-Developed a rapid prototype Shiny (R) application to visualize seedling morphometric data from large-scale data collection.-Identified reforestation bottlenecks in nursery production and scalable reforestation planting labor through interviews and surveys with key stakeholders in the forestry industry. Findings were published via two research papers.-Project managed the growth, packet, and planting of of ~7,000 conifer seedlings in a greenhouse trial to evaluate product scalability. Included management of the Bio R&D research intern.-Conducted an extensive literature review on the biological and physiological properties of biochar, alongside its scalability and effectiveness in conifer nursery production, reforestation efforts, and post-planting field applications, examining its impact on seedling growth, soil health, nutrient retention, and long-term carbon sequestration.-Designed and managed experimental trials to improve nursery production and biological MVP, researching PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate) for moisture retention, and alternative soil medias in lieu of restrictions on sphagnum peat extraction.-Completed <1.5 years of fieldwork aimed to evaluate DroneSeeds' MVP. Responsibilities included data collection, entry, QAQC, analysis, meeting with customers and landowners, and authoring internal/external reports providing recommendations to the greater company and customers.

- Performed market research, forecasting, and evaluations related to the current state of the water industry.- Built customer deck forecasting the impact of COVID-19 on state CIPs (Capital Improvement Plans). - Designed and build client report on cross intersection of the water and automotive industries, including sustainability practices.- Updated and expanded customer deck of publicly traded water companies.

- Continued fire ecology research alongside Dr. Hillary Jenkins focused on refining our data and findings from the prior summer into a publishable document.

- Worked alongside Dr. Hillary Jenkins in the U of R Climatology Laboratory.- Primary objectives included daily research, designing, and planning of geology and marine environmental science course materials and demos.- Undertook research and development on environmental projects, GIS labs, assistance in lectures, grading, and providing general upkeep of the laboratory.- Continued post-fire ecology research from the prior summer.

- Worked alongside Dr. Hillary Jenkins on evaluating wildfire effects (at various grades) on conifer regeneration within the San Bernardino National Forest.- Evaluated and quantified ecological impacts from fire through measurements of tree mortality, carbon loss, and rates of vegetation regrowth.- Research consisted of a mix of laboratory and field work, as well as Esri's ArcGIS suite.- Findings were presented to the Summer Science Research Program (2019) via presentation and poster showing to the academic community.

- Collaborated with fellow interns to develop an online database catered for documentation of customer and project journals, field notes, correspondence, calculations, designs and plans, etc.

- Performed measurements, research for engineering department projects. - Promoted to project lead focused on a life-cycle analysis and asset management of plant equipment. - Presented LCA project findings to the Chief Plant Officer (CPO) and leadership team of the facility.
