    Responsibilities at Mast (Formerly DroneSeed):- Led QA/QC team in project management, product and SOP development, and initiative planning for large-scale conifer nursery production monitoring, managing two Bio R&D specialists at Mast's subsidiaries (Cal Forest Nursery & Silvaseed Company).-Designed and developed framework for a computer vision tool to track seedling morphometric measurements (seedling height and root collar diameter) and health.-Developed a rapid prototype Shiny (R) application to visualize seedling morphometric data from large-scale data collection.-Identified reforestation bottlenecks in nursery production and scalable reforestation planting labor through interviews and surveys with key stakeholders in the forestry industry. Findings were published via two research papers.-Project managed the growth, packet, and planting of of ~7,000 conifer seedlings in a greenhouse trial to evaluate product scalability. Included management of the Bio R&D research intern.-Conducted an extensive literature review on the biological and physiological properties of biochar, alongside its scalability and effectiveness in conifer nursery production, reforestation efforts, and post-planting field applications, examining its impact on seedling growth, soil health, nutrient retention, and long-term carbon sequestration.-Designed and managed experimental trials to improve nursery production and biological MVP, researching PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate) for moisture retention, and alternative soil medias in lieu of restrictions on sphagnum peat extraction.-Completed <1.5 years of fieldwork aimed to evaluate DroneSeeds' MVP. Responsibilities included data collection, entry, QAQC, analysis, meeting with customers and landowners, and authoring internal/external reports providing recommendations to the greater company and customers.
