Employed by the Cambridge Public Schools as an in house Mindfulness Guest Teacher, Gabriel delivers the Mindful Schools curriculum to students, coaches teachers in mindfulness, and hosts mindfulness workshops for parents at many schools within CPS. He has worked extensively with the King Open School as well as the Morse School, Cambridgeport School, High School Extension Program, Tobin School, and Amigos School in Cambridge. Classes range from preK to 5th Grade.He has taught the 8 week 16 lesson curriculum to over 700 students, coached groups of teachers 100+ times, and has hosted dozens of mindfulness workshops for parents.

Leads mindfulness exercises, small group discussions, and runs activities for weeklong residential mindfulness retreats for teenagers. Staffed retreats: New England retreat over New Years in 2013 & 2014 & 2015 & 2016, Pacific Northwest retreat 2014, Northeast retreat 2015 & 2016, Toronto retreat 2015, and the Emigrant Wilderness CA backpacking retreat 2015. Served as the Northeast Regional Outreach Coordinator, 2015-2016. Duties included recruiting teenagers for the Notheast retreats and promoting iBme and their retreats through communications with organizations and schools.

Leads small group discussions, meditations, and runs activities for the sixty teenagers who attend the five day residential Teen Meditation Retreat each summer. Prior to staffing these retreats I attended as a teenager from 15 to 19 years old.

Gabriel works one-on-one with people to let go of their excess stuff that is cluttering their physical and mental spaces. Clients find the service to be effective and compassionately delivered.

Initiated a project to fund and purchase the second property for the non-profit affordable housing corporation. Lead board meetings and worked with committees to meet their goals.

Designed and taught a mindfulness curriculum to 4th to 6th graders part time over 15 weeks. The 50 minute classes included a mixture of practice and theory with mindful movement practices.

Implemented and further developed a customized national emergency preparedness program on a block by block basis to be used as a model for other communities.

Operated two fraternal boarding houses with 50 students and an annual budget of $125,000. Led an alumni outreach program that resulted in starting an annual fundraising campaign to complete a small renovation yearly. Previously served as the House Manager for two years.
