With over 9 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and statistics, I am a Senior Data Scientist at PicPay, the largest mobile payment platform in Latin America. There, I work on projects that enhance the user experience and the business value of the app, such as product recommendation, personalization, chatbot, and text classification. I also apply causal inference techniques using A/B tests, regression models, and CUPED to measure the impact of new features.In addition to my role at PicPay, I am pursuing a PhD in Systems and Computer Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where I conduct state-of-the-art research on privacy-preserving DDoS attack detection using minimal information. My research involves developing machine learning models using lightweight features extracted from real home user traffic and spatio-temporal correlation using Bayesian hierarchical models. I have published several papers in prestigious conferences and journals, and received awards and scholarships for my academic excellence.
