CurrentI am currently working on an Electronic Flight Bag Interface Box (EIB) provides conduit for select electronic data, derived from on board aircraft electronic units, to flight-deck installed iPads running third party applications. The data and the iPad installed application programs so provided, enable pilot display of near real time navigational visuals, including current platform position, flight path, multiple destinations, traffic and moving maps. The EIB also makes available user selectable menu of on board data, including weather, maintenance and cabin information. The accessary provides standard lightning cable connection to the iPad. The EIB is capable of operating two independent iPads, with the same or independent selection of the available navigation and menu data. The EIB communicates with the on board electronic units, with ARINC834 standard bus descriptions, including ARINC717, ARINC429 and ARINC619. Additionally, the EIB will provide charging for the iPads. The EIB will be certified by worldwide regulatory agencies, including FAA and EASA.
