If I had to highlight my work in {pixind} as co-founder and CTO in the past years, it would be the strategic vision that allowed us to transform from a small startup to a company capable of developing high quality software for companies such as Disney, Mattel, Mizuno, Abertis and others.Always happy to take on new challenges, I have been able to create a team to rise to the highest requirements. The other big part of this equation has been the implementation of agile methodologies, a deep strategic vision applied to the development management and delivery of each project, and the ability to create and maintain a friendly and playful work environment, without loosing professionalism and responsibility. Some of these tasks were:• Leading IT and strategic planning.• Review the "Best Practices" and set architecture, frameworks and tools used by our development teams.• Define and enact coding conventions and documentation standards.• Select and manage the company staff or the outsourced IT providers.• Being always aware of new technologies and social trends that could affect the company, both negatively and positively, detecting and planning actions accordingly.• Active participation in corporate management decisions and strategy.• Working close with finance dept, planning and adjusting budgets and targets, in order to get the highest profit.• And a lot of RoR coding, of course… Finally I think it is very important to note that I'm passionate about Japanese Martial Arts, and an active practitioner and instructor of Iaido and Aikido, this direct contact with martial arts teaching, gave me the opportunity to find a true passion, also the strategic approach in the whole martial core concepts, becoming something priceless and deeply integrated in my role as a manager among this years.
