After obtaining the grades D*D*D for BTEC Level 3 Engineering, I decided to continue with engineering at University. After completing first year at Manchester Metropolitan University studying BEng: Mechanical Engineering (Modules including: Mathematical Methods, Electrical & Electronic Science, Design & Practice and Mechanics), I have taken the opportunity offered by Covid-19 to reassess my career path and to evaluate which aspects of study I enjoy / wish to pursue further. I am currently working as a Machine Operator within an engineering company (Scorpion Automotive Ltd). However, I am keen to continue my education within this field and feel this apprenticeship offers the ideal opportunity, as I am looking for a career and not just a job.I am looking for a challenging role that will test my ability, but also allow me to continue to learn new skills and traits and to enhance my current skill set. I am self-motivated and willing to learn. I have a great desire to push myself to be the best I can be. I am hard working, determined, confident, willing to try new experiences and I work brilliantly both within a group and independently. I have studied a lot of theory whilst being at college / university, and I have completed various practical tasks as well, such as designing, building and testing a line launcher for a project. I feel that now is the time to put all theory and practical learning into practice, get out in the field, and strive to be the best I can be.
