About Gabriela Pinto
When I was younger, I remember wanting to be one of two things when I grew up: a veterinarian or a kindergarten teacher. I think both have in common a dimension of caring and orientation towards others, which I believe describes me perfectly as a person and as a psychologist. All the experiences and projects I've been involved in have helped me build a sense of human relationships based on empathy and respect, seeing people beyond any clinical condition, diagnosis or social context. I have developed a particular interest in psychological interventions at a prevention level and in working with families and informal caregivers, also highlighting topics such as capacity-building, inclusion, functional diversity and the protection of children and young people at risk or in danger.
