I am currently in my first year of my Master Degree in Movement and Health Science. I have completed my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science at Jacksonville State University. During my time at Jacksonville State University I gained experience as an intern at the Athletic Therapeutic Institute in Sports Medicine. During my internship, I had the responsibility of assisting the physical therapist build successful rapport with athletes, providing encouragement during treatment, and explaining exercises and injuries. I also had the responsibility of creating rehabilitation programs to improve the athlete's stability and functionality so they could return to play. During my observational hours, I also observed and assisted an Athletic Therapeutic Institute Athletic Trainer. I was able to learn how to apply and modify tape, braces, and bandages to the wrists, ankles, and knees to enhance athletes health and ability to play. While doing this, I was able to gain an understanding of how to help with the injury process through medications, modalities, and rehabilitative exercises.My classmates, peers, instructors, and teammates would describe me as someone who is a hardworking, approachable, and creative person. I have had experience in a leadership position such as being a captain for Arsenal Academy U16's, a summer camp leader, and an assistant and head soccer coach for Storm FC 6–14 year-olds. I have also played soccer for over 12 years, where I have had the experience to play for England Youth, Arsenal Academy, and Collegiate Soccer, where I have had to work with my teammates to solve problems and achieve goals.I will be graduating in 2025, and I plan to become a strength and conditioning coach for a collegiate team or professional sports club. I am very enthusiastic to pursue a position that allows me to use the science of human movements to prevent injuries and enhance an athlete's ability in their chosen sport. While completing my Master's Degree, I will acquire new skills and gain experience in the strength and conditioning work environment.
