I recently graduated this May from Saginaw Valley State University with a bachelors degree in Athletic Training and a bachelors degree in Exercise Science. As of June 2021, I am now a Certified Athletic Trainer. I have graduated from the University of Tampa with my master's in Exercise Science this August 2021.Since being accepted into the Athletic Training Program at SVSU I have had the opportunity to participate in Interpersonal Communication Events, travel to Chicago for the GLATA conference, attended MATs conferences, and learn through Clinical rotations starting my first semester of the program. I have also volunteered my services for the special Olympics (Summer) and volunteered as a medic for the Saginaw Valley Men's Hockey team. Volunteering with the Men's Hockey Team helped to break me out of my shell as a health care provider. It has helped me to become more confident, independent and organized. This opportunity allowed me to utilize many of the skill sets I learned in class as well as widen my knowledge on sports related injuries that I would not have seen during my clinical rotations otherwise. I am humbled that the team has asked me to return as their medic again for their 2019-2020 season. I am so proud to have been apart of this team and will use the lessons I learned to continue to grow as a Sports Medicine Provider.Sports have been apart of my life for as long as I can remember and I am thrilled to be able to continue this love of sports in a future career.
