In this role as the technical CRISPR screening specialist I assisted with translational childhood brain cancer discovery research as part of the Hudson-Monash Paediatric Precision Medicine Program (HMPPMP). It was my role to optimise pre-screen quality control checklist assays prior to performing customised pooled CRISPR/Cas9 knockout screens on in-vitro.

In this full-time role I undertook an independently managed research project investigating candidate genetic variants in an unknown human immunodeficiency disorder and microRNA variants that may be associated with susceptibility to non-Hodgkin lymphoma. I developed expertise in a number of molecular and cellular biology techniques including primer design.
