    As festival director I coordinated the Animex team and managed the festival as a whole, in addition to programming and hosting Animex Game, our workshops series, and our children's Animexperience animation workshops and screening.In this role I set up a VIP screening event for children from disadvantaged areas to attend with their families to view animations they created in stop motion workshops, before being presented with certificate by Animation and Creative Directors from Disney Animation Studios.Animex is an inclusive, inspirational event which has been running at Teesside University since 2000. It takes the form of a week long festival of games and animation aimed predominantly at students, graduates and early career industry. The festival was designed a unique chance for the young audience to gain access to high profile industry professionals who provide behind the scenes insights into the latest projects of world leading games and animation studios.Consisting of a unique blend of talks, workshops, networking events, exhibitions and screenings, Animex promotes an ethos of collaboration and sharing, bringing the world of computer games and animation to audiences of any level of expertise, regardless of background and prior knowledge.
