A series of books for the 8-12 market based around Alfie Bloom, a boy who inherits a castle full of wonders that has been sealed for centuries.Alfie Bloom and the Secrets of Hexbridge Castle, The Talisman Thief, and The Witch of Demon Rock have been translated into German, French, Polish, Turkish, Czech and Slovak, and adapted for the US market.

Lecturing and developing courses in a variety of aspects of games development, with a particular focus on gameplay and mechanics, narrative, interface design, and concept art/development. I also acted as Deputy Head allocating and timetabling staff whilst dealing with tasks and situations as they arose.

As festival director I coordinated the Animex team and managed the festival as a whole, in addition to programming and hosting Animex Game, our workshops series, and our children's Animexperience animation workshops and screening.In this role I set up a VIP screening event for children from disadvantaged areas to attend with their families to view.

Organised, scheduled and hosted Animex Game since founding the event in 2003.Over the years, I grew Animex Game to a two day conference across two packed venues, each seating 300+. In addition, I founded a day long event for celebrating indie development, and a day of talks and panels from comics writers, artists and publishers.

for a while before and after leaving Teesside Uni I worked as a freelance concept artist/illustrator creating designs for a diverse range of clients including game development studios, comics and Norweigan cheese manufacturers!

Whilst studying at Teesside University I spent some time working as an artist at Acclaim Teesside during the Shadowman development phase.
