I am a senior studying agriculture with a concentration in Animal Science at Wilmington College seeking a full-time job in the agricultural industry after I graduate in May 2025. Please contact me at gabrielle.nelson@wilmington.edu.Living on a 300 acre cattle farm in Southern Ohio and working on several other farms over the years has given me the opportunity to work with different breeds of livestock, drive a variety of equipment, and maintain proper vaccinations and records. My heart has always been on the farm no matter where I am, so majoring in Animal Science was an easy decision. Besides working on the family farm and on other local farms, I work at an Event Center in Hamilton, Ohio called The Benison Events & Co-working. I started as a dining room hostess and now I am a manager with a focus on staff scheduling and training. After I graduate college, I plan to own a cow-calf operation and focus on improving genetics and integrating a more nutritious and affordable forage for cattle that is self-sustainable in pastures. While in high school at Liberty University Online Academy, I earned my Associate's Degree in Business. Now, at Wilmington College, I am in the honors program and I am on the equestrian team and a member in several clubs including Aggies, Collegiate Farm Bureau, Faith in Action, and WC Line Dancing. I also enjoy volunteering in the Kids Ministry at my Local Church every Sunday.
