As a Case Manager, I assist clients with a history of being unhoused and serious illness to navigate medical and housing systems, including Alameda Alliance for Health (Alameda County's Medi-Cal health insurance branch), Social Security, and local housing authorities. In my role, I assist clients in completing applications for housing using housing vouchers, schedule and attend appointments with clients, and coordinate transportation to ensure clients are supported to the fullest extent in traversing systems that have historically marginalized them because of their identity, financial means, and medical conditions.Through the course of my service, I have had the opportunity to use my unique language skillset to provide on-the-spot Chinese-to-English and English-to-Chinese translation for a handful of our clients, leading to more engagement with medical providers and better outcomes for client wellbeing.

As a wedding, event, portrait photographer, and photojournalist, I have taken photos of dozens of events and weddings, coordinating with clients and other creators, and traveled the globe to take photos in stunning locations.

I taught English and facilitated cultural exchange at a public boarding high school in rural southeastern Zhejiang Province between Wenzhou and Lishui, teaching 640 high school grade one and grade two students in 16 classes each week. In my role as an educational ambassador, I also established an English Corner at our school. Ameson Year in China awarded me Cultural Ambassador of the Year award at the end of the program for my work in 浙江青田中学 / Zhejiang Qingtian Senior High School.

While at WTCTA, I focused on aiding small and medium-sized enterprises from the Seattle area to export their products to east and southeast Asia through Alibaba's business-to-business e-commerce platform. My responsibilities included spearheading a project to facilitate trade among local small and medium-sized enterprises in the Greater Seattle Area, updating our membership database, marketing and outreach, event planning and logistics, grant management and reporting the World Trade Center's accomplishments to the City and Port of Tacoma, and providing operational and administrative support.

My internship at the World Trade Center Tacoma consisted of trade and market research, event planning, marketing and social media, as well as some operations and administration work aiding fellow interns with projects tied to the Minority Business Development Agency and other partner organizations.

After three years of working as a General Staff photographer, I decided to take on more responsibilities as the General Manager of ASUPS Photo Services. During my time as General Manager, I supervised a team of over a dozen, balanced a budget in the tens of thousands dollars and procured thousands of dollars of badly needed new photo equipment. I also integrated a personal project that I had launched to photograph and interview subjects on the street about their lives called Humans of Puget Sound (HOPS).

Over the course of my two years of service in Residence Life, I served 45 residents in two communities. I supported and engaged residents in everything from crisis situations to community events that I hosted with my fellow RA's to create a sense of home on campus.Fellow RA's on my team nominated me to be recognized at the University Leadership Award Ceremony and my supervisors endorsed my nomination. I received the Resident Assistant of the Year Award for my leadership between 2015-2016.

While interning at Rikai Labs during my summer 2016 study abroad in Shanghai, I used high-level script to create English language lessons for business-people who wanted to learn conversational English to consume. One of the most rewarding projects that I contributed to was writing script and developing content for a front-end of a pilot project sponsored by Visa.
