I'm a hopeful and energetic story teller based in northern Indiana. Climate change is the biggest story of the 21st century and it guides my work. I am fascinated by all the ways, big and small, that climate change affects the lives of folks in the Midwest every day, especially at the intersections of food, agriculture, and justice. My experience profiling farmers in the Tippecanoe watershed, translating for spanish-speaking patients in a charitable clinic, and writing for student-run and professional publications deepens my belief in the importance of communication for personal, enivronmental, and community health and helps me develop skills including: - Clear, concise writing - Working knowledge of the food system from soil to table - Spanish fluency in reporting and correspondence - Photography and basic photo editingBeyond reading and writing, I enjoy knitting, baking and playing the piano.I'm excited to learn and grow as a communicator in the evolving journalism industry.
